Kephra, the editor written in Perl, has reached its first version that is UTF-safe and installable via CPAN. The all in one package for Windows users is still available under http://kephra.sf.net/

Other improvements since 0.4.2 include:

• Reworked UI with brand new context menu in the left margin
• Marker and improved bookmarks
• Several new fullscreen modes
• 3 new tools
• Lots of small fixes

Kephra is very stable and aspires to a clean UI, user comfort without a lot of technical burden or hardware consumption, and TIMTOWTDI in usage.
